Ok so I know what you’re probably thinking, “GameFreak just revisited Kalos and gave us a buncha new Mega Evolution, they’re probably done with the gimmick for now and want to focus on other things,” and YES while that may be true, just hear me out, as I was looking at Mega Zygarde’s stats, and ICL I think it provides PEAK evidence that we could get new Megas in the future…
Ok so all Megas get a 100 BST boost when Mega Evolving right? Well, except for Zygarde, since yaknow 808 BST would be fucking insane. Ok but what’s interesting is what the ACTUAL BST increase for this Pokémon is, 70. Now, this doesn't sound too special, but consider what that increases it’s BST to, 778. Now, consider what the theoretical BST for Xerneus/Yveltal would be if they were to Mega Evolve, 780. I don't know, I just feel like that aligning Mega Zygarde’s BST to be within 2 stat points of what Mega Xerneus/Yveltal would be KINDA points at the two possibly getting an update in the future.
Tho uhhh this could be an Origin Dialga/Palkia-type thing where it takes like 16 years for the trio to get rounded out, but hey better late than never FRFR!
(and yes there’s still hope for Mega Typhlosion please GameFreak I need Mega Typhlosion it's so great FRFR)
