I've been playing Pokémon for quite a while now, and I have played all the games . I wasn't much into shiny hunting since I kept forgetting about version exclusives and shiny hunting for the exclusives in the wrong game, so I don't do that anymore. So when I played Pokémon Scarlet, I just played casually since it was my first playthrough . I was in the South Province (Area Five), just chilling there, then I spotted a Shiny Goomy, and I was surprised and happy as hell. I immediately, without thinking about it, tried to catch it since I didn't have any Quick Balls. I decided to get it low and use a Great Ball. I accidentally used False Swipe, so it was just one, and I misclicked and used a Heavy Ball, and it broke. Here comes the bad part : the Goomy used Take Down, and bam. My excited self didn't save, so there went my shiny.
The weird part starts here ever since that when I played or replayed any and I mean any Pokémon game, I would always find a Goomy, in the most awkward situations. It ended one of my nuzlocks and done very other weird and frustrating stuff. Idk what to do now, do I shiny hunt for a Goomy or destroy the whole species of it in every Pokémon game going forward?
