I may be bias, since I'm a patriotic American, and my two favorite generations are Unova and Alola; but I often wish that they would've stuck with the USA a little bit longer after Black and White.
The first four regions take place in Japan, which obviously makes sense considering that Pokémon is Japanese, but imagine if they did the same, starting with Unova. Gen 5-9 being in America.
The US is massive, and has the most biodiversity out of any country on the planet, which leaves a lot of room for variety. I'd love to see regions based on the Southwest: like Texas or the four corners, or the deep South: like Florida or Louisiana.
