Pokémon & Zelda Rip-Off ‘Pickmos’ Removed From Steam As Publisher Intervenes

  1. I say this as a Palworld fan:

I think this game highlights some of the logical flaws of Palworld defenders. I don’t see any way someone could reasonably defend Palworld yet have an issue with this game. I’m sure someone will respond to this comment saying “well actually they’re completely different, the designs in this are clearly a ripoff” but that same argument would apply to Palworld….

To be clear: I’ve enjoyed my time with Palworld and I think this game looks wholly worse. I’m just saying that the typical defenses of Palworld (“you can’t patent an art style/game mechanics”, etc) apply here as well.

We need to go deeper. Who’s gonna be the one to make a ripoff of Pickmos?

Tbf, this is the kind of shit that happens when you let blatant rip offs like palworld exist without a real fight

  4. >”We are revising the game to ensure a controversy-free experience. It will be re-released once our publisher gives the final approval.”

As long as they keep the Twink with gun on a Dragon part it’s all good.

Is this the one that straight up pulled models from other games like Roadhog

  6. KingBroly

Are they gonna update the models so they don’t include fan inspirations for Pokemon wholesale? I doubt it. It seems to me like the name got changed because of the Pokemon trademark more than anything.

Zelda + Pokemon crossover sounds like a fun idea, though. Nintendo should make that game.

  8. When are Nintendo fans gonna get over palworld?

  9. TraditionWilling7087

Probably wanted to avoid all the lawsuits lol

How did Steam even allow this in the first place? Do they not have people reviewing these things who can notify a lawyer and say “This is blatant IP theft right?”
