How busted do you think Mega Zoroark would be if they gave it imposter?
You can choose who to transform into when it suits and your opponent can be totally caught off guard by the mega.
It would only be balanced by the fact you have to use your mega slot for an imposter mon.
What would you give that out of 10?

Kinda mid.
It’s surprising, but most of the time a Mega Pokemon would usually outperform most Pokemon.
I remember that Insurgence had a mega zoroark keep illusion, and formatted the boss fight to where a pokemon capable of mega evolving was at the back, then gave Mega Zoroark the sprite of that pokemon when mega’d
So mega Zoroark kept you on your toes, confusing you whether they used their mega slot on it or Gengar, and having Gunk Shot sold the illusion well
It’s crazy how they didn’t give it a Mega. I wish they treated it more like Lucario’s counter part. I’d Dark/Ghost.
Illusionist: Pre-Nerfed Protean(it was only nerfed because of Tera). Illusionist.
65/120/70/140/60/155
Moves: Flash Cannon,Ice Beam,Poison Jab,Poltergiest and Extreme Speed.
I mean it sounds like an interesting mechanic, but would also feel like a bit of a waste? Like when I use a mega I want a cool mega version of my pokemon and here it’d almost remove Zoroarks Mega form entirely, like there’d be only a few niche cases where it wouldn’t instantly transform into the opponents Pokemon.
Nice
I can’t even fathom a Mega Zoroark, just because no matter what, it feels like it would be at odds with its main gimmick. I’d rather it doesn’t get a new ability, since Illusion is its whole thing, and even if it keeps the Illusion ability, would it have to drop the Illusion to Mega Evolve? Does it Mega Evolve without the transformation animation? Neither of those seem favorable. I’m sure the design potential is there, and Zoroark could certainly use a stat boost, but it would take some figuring out to get it to work.
