This feels like the Pokémon Adventures anime adaptation we never had

I just watched this and it hit me with a huge wave of nostalgia.

I absolutely loved the Pokémon Adventures manga when I was younger, and I always thought it was a shame we never got a proper anime adaptation that really captured that side of Pokémon: more serious, a bit more mature, and closer in tone to the manga than the classic anime.

This is the work of a solo creator who recreates the visual style of the 90s Pokémon anime while pushing it in that direction, and honestly, I thought it was really well done.
