How do you feel about the “real” thing your favorite Pokemon is based off of?

"Real" is in quotation marks cuz some Pokemon are primarily based on kaijus which…well, aren't literally real.

My favorite is Sceptile which – according to Bulbapedia – is primarily based on leaf tailed geckos which I definitely think are cool as hell to have evolved that way for camouflage, but I'm not rly a huge fan of lizards. I think they're creepy crawlers.

I'm curious about everyone's thoughts on their favorites' irl counterparts.
