I actually like this. This isn’t the data harvesting that other apps like TikTok do, this appears to be purely limited to your gaming. Something I’m fine with a gaming related app having information about.

I only listen to animal crossing GameCube. No idea what use that is to them, unless they wanna put acgc on NSO in witch be my guests and please do that

The article is pretty short. Calls the new method scary. Big lol from me tbh. The time for sounding the alarm on our data being analyzed was like 10+ years ago. At the very least. The whole data check thing was something Andrew Yang said that really should’ve caught on imo.
I do believe we deserve that money. Companies are making mad money off our everyday digital habits. But this app might show us what song we’re listening to in a game and that’s the scary part? Please.
Would be nice if most games still had sound tests and the app could sync to that too. Then I could just favorite something in game and have it appear on the app.

Makes sense to recommend based off of games you’ve played, if only just to make you aware that the game is on the app. But I don’t really see the point in going much deeper than that
