I'm not really sure why go hub prefers Psycho Cut over Shadow Claw. Can someone explain this or is this an actual error?

Psycho Cut generates energy much more quickly than Shadow Claw when it comes to raids. As Moongeist Beam is such a strong move, it’s sometimes beneficial to have that faster energy generation so that you can fire more of them off before your Necrozma faints.
Also, Dialgadex and Pokebattler are both typically better resources than Go Hub for raid attackers
Big move charge faster = more damage
Go hub does not take type effectiveness into account, so the super effective shadow claw damage over neutral or resisted psycho cut is not taken into account
Simply, Psycho Cut outpaces Shadow Claw by a solid margin – 7 vs. 12 seconds to charge up Moongeist Beam. Shadow Claw likely wins out when there’s at least a 2 stage difference in effectiveness (Psychic resisted, Ghost Super Effective), but it’s close enough that you’ll probably want Psycho Cut anyways.
This also doesn’t factor in party power – that’s where Psycho Cut really starts to run away as the best move.
Smol makes bamm bamm faster so big boi can go boom more!
It gets even weirder
Psycho Cut + Moongeist Beam generates more energy + more dps than Shadow Claw + Moongeist Beam
BUT
Metal Claw (????) + Moongeist Beam ALSO generates more energy + dps than Shadow Claw as well
I am going to guess that this is against a neutral opponent. I just checked pokebattler for the current raid boss, tapu lele, and it looks like both shadow claw and metal claw are better than psycho cut, because of the super effective damage.
Hi there! I wrote that simulator, so I should know I guess 🙂
– When we think about best attackers of every type, historically we had to ignore type advantage, and focus only on raw DPS and TDO against a neutral opponent…
– …however, we have moved away from that, and for this particular listing, we do a meta analysis of raid counters and rank the best Pokémon of every type based on their placement in the Raid counters charts.
– What we do is we calculate counters for all Pokémon and go backwards from there to see which Pokémon were best attackers of every type. We also take into account the difficulty of the fight (being a better counter in a Tier 5 raid will give Pokémon more points than same placement in Tier 3 raids)
– This approached seemed more fair to us than running a sim loop against a neutral opponent
Additionally, as others have pointed out, Psycho Cut generates energy much more quickly than Shadow Claw when it comes to raids, which allows you to fire off more Moongeist Beams, which in the long run results in more damage than SC+MB.
Of course, there is always room for improvement and bugs, so if you notice something let me know.
Moongeist beam is so busted that the slightly higher fast move damage with shadow claw is offset by the fact that you charge your charge move much faster via psycho cut.
it would take you to cast shadow claw 25 times before moongeist beam becomes available
it would only take you to cast psycho cut 14.29 times before moongeist beam becomes available
imagine a difference as huge as that
What is NDW?
