In the last HSE I hit 600k on the first day and I was ranked around 100 and ended the event under 200. This time around I’m ranked 25? How does that make any sense?
Anyway, over time I’ve come to appreciate this game mode. It’s not too much of a time investment, and the team building process is fun.
1) Arc-Dragonite provides para and raw power. Glaceon debuffs. Regice tanks. Easy clear, easy 120k.
2) Countdown -3 is probably the hardest parameter to deal with so I figured I had to use the best unit in Anni Charizard. B-move finishes off mid before their second sync. Froslass is insanely useful here for stat debuffs. 125k might be the highest single stage score I’ve ever had.
3) Worst stage. My strat relies on turn 1 twister flinch and killing him before the sync. Drampa fulfills both conditions (Para and theme skill) but it’s not exactly the best support. It’s not possible to fit in 50 attacks with this setup either, so this score can’t go much higher.
4) Sync order is Dondozo, Kyurem, Haxorus. Kyurem can survive the sync with Sync Damage Guard + Circle. Try to avoid killing the sides in order to get more Kyurem debuffs. Haxorus isn’t very strong so the clear takes a while, but at least Dondozo is super tanky and buys a lot of time. I also tested this stage with this Appletun and I was able to get a 119k clear.
5) Originally the plan was to use Academy Iris instead of Frosmoth. I found Lapras to be worse because she ends the stage too quickly. Maybe there’s a way I could have manipulated the special buffs better but I’m not interested in improving this any further, 119k is good enough.
