I got invited into a Pokémon Battle Event where the visitors create a Pokémon team on Pokémon Showdown and battle against 8 Gym Leaders and a Champion.
I get to be the Poison Gym Leader and now have to create a team of 6 Poison-types for single battles. The format is going to be OU, not Ubers. I have played a lot of games but never against other players with a custom team. I want the team to be pretty strong, but the main goal should be for everyone to have fun and I don't want to utilize a toxic strategy. I did see a video about a custom Poison Gym, but I'm not sure how well it holds up against players that use meta strategies.
Would appreciate any suggestions on how to create a competitive team.
