For those of us with more pending friend gifts than ones we are able to open, they’d have to implement something like how the mass transfer action selects each friend and then opens/sends all those selected at once

This breaks the friendship level mechanic. You can only hold a max of 40-60 gifts at a time, but active players will have more than 40-60 gifttable friends. Right now there are search strings like `giftable` and `interactable` which “send to all” and “open all” would break, especially if you have 60 gifts but 150 friends who have slots for gifts.
This would only work for beginners or players with fewer than 100 friends.

We’ve had the friendship system since the spring of 2018, and we’ve yet to have an update that truly makes this feature all that it could be.
