Lol the friendship district 😂 very fitting for south side chicago
is it me or are they like not around the same size
I’m still blown away they want tourists playing around (and south of) the Sox stadium – there’s really *nothing* around there, and it’s not easy to get to (you’re not walking there certainly).
Also the map is wrong. Newcity is an apartment complex/commercial hub west of Lincoln Park. Lincoln Park (and lpz) are east, near the lake. They swapped the 2 stars on the map.
But this does cement my doing a city experience, as I work fairly close to where the 4 districts intersect. Was worried the districts were going to have me running all over the place.
what do i do with this information? how are people supposed to get around? why am i expected to go around to the different zones now?

Chicago is not Japan. You’d be stupid to walk in some of these areas.
So would everywhere outside of the friendship district be considered safe? Originally I had planned on mostly playing around Lincoln Park given the density of gyms for raiding
I would encourage anyone attending from out of town to hit up the lakeshore trails, that run all the way north and south along the lake front. Great walking and biking paths, tons of greenery and city views, very safe, and can take you literally from the Friendship zone (take some time to enjoy the Museum of Science and Industry, its world class) all the way up to the museum campus (field museum, aquarium, planetarium), alongside grant park/millennium fountain, and up to/past Lincoln Park zoo in the northern zone.
There’s small parks, benches, water fountains, restrooms, etc along the way. Will be a great way to spend a day without having to mess with Uber or the El trains, if you want to get your steps in!
