Shiny zapdos is coming to pokemon go this Saturday for a 3 hour raid party. We have previously seen, in pokemon go, zapdos. However, this is the first time that the zapdos shiny version will be released in pokemon go.
This will be the fifth of the shiny legendaries making an appearance in pokemon go.
There is not much of a difference between zapdos and shiny zapdos so it is going to be crucial to check out the stars that will surround the pokemon when going to Catch it. While playing POGO and you get a shiny zapdos, the catch rate is 100 percent so use an Pinap berry.
This is the second time we have had the chance for a zapdos raid encounter in pokemon go. So make sure to catch zapdos because he has an updated move with fast attack thunder shock!
Zapdos has a perfect IV catch at 1902 under normal conditions and under windy or rainy conditions, zapdos can be caught at 2378 for a level 25. Zapdos maxes out at 3330 for a 100 percent iv at level 40. Check out the zapdos pokemon go iv chart included below.
Zapdos pokemon go counters are rock pokemon mainly including tyranitar with smackdown and stone edge and golem with rock throw and stone edge or rock blast. Make sure to include these counters in your raid party for zapdos.
Thunder shock will help zapdos become a better pokemon go moveset. Zapdos can be found as a legendary raid for the pokemon go location.

Are you ready for round two of Professor Willow’s Global Challenge? Starting July 14 through July 15, each area of the world will have to meet the challenge requirements during Pokémon GO Fest in Chicago, USA! If each area achieves its respective goals, Candy-related bonuses will unlock starting on July 16—including bonuses for catching Pokémon and participating in Raid Battles. Trainers can also unlock a bonus to reduce the distance needed to hatch Eggs!
If all goals are achieved, Trainers all over the globe will be able to receive up to five free Raid passes when they spin a Photo Disc at a Gym during Zapdos Day, featuring the Legendary Pokémon Zapdos. On Saturday, July 21, Zapdos will be exclusively available in Raid Battles around the world for a three-hour period. During that time, all Zapdos caught will know the Fast Attack Thundershock. You might even encounter a Shiny Zapdos!
