Hi,
My game has been acting very strange today (Aug 20, 2026), so I'm writing here in hopes to finding someone who might know what's happening. The game has worked just fine until this morning when the issues started. I've filed a bug report twice via in-game chat and the game feels like it has definitely improved but some issues still exist. (edit: phone is Samsung Galaxy S25 ultra)
Here's a list of everything I've experienced in the past 12h in Pokémon Go:
– Got stuck plenty of times on the white title screen. Sometimes managed to go past it to a black screen. Took several tries to actually open the game
– Social tab for the weekly group task disappeared
– Everyone on my friend list was at five full hearts. No visible progress for forever friends
– Max battles, routes and raids didn't appear in the bottom right corner "nearby" button even when I could see them in the game
– Inventory overflowing with almost 200k items thanks to "pass points"
– Inventory showing up empty but still being at 100/500 (my item inventory is 4550)
– Avatars are invisible, both mine and my friends'. I'm not always visible on the map
– Pokémon stat pages overlapping weirdly, or only showing a picture of the pokemon with grey background
– Unable to power up pokemon because "your trainer level is too low!" (I'm level 77)
– Wild pokemon not loading properly (sparkles! This is the only one I've experienced before)
– Clicking on wild pokemon only results in white screen, can't catch anything
– Pokeballs not visible on catch screen or missing texture
– Items missing picture/showing incorrect name
– Unable to download assets
I wonder if that was all.. As I said the gameplay has definitely improved towards the evening and the bugs feel like they could be going away, but they still keep appearing after a few minutes of playing. Not everything I mentioned on the list is happening at the same time (thankfully!) but every time I start the game I get introduced to a few of them.
In an attempt to fix this I've restarted my phone several times, reinstalled the game, cleared game cache, and refreshed game data multiple times. Nothing has fully fixed the issue. No idea what I should do next. Phone and game are both up to date.
ATM I'm just hoping it goes away by Saturday so I can raid mega Starmie without the game suddenly thinking my level is too low to raid.
