Pokémon GO City Safari Event Brings Stamp Rally, Shiny Eevee to Boston Later This Month

Get ready for a Pokémon GO City Safari coming to Boston Sept. 26 and 27. Operating hours will be 10 a.m.-6 p.m. both days. 

The event unfolds across nine themed zones with PokéStops and Gyms. Participants can also take part in a GO Stamp Rally that can unlock encounters with Eevee in an explorer hat and a chance at a Shiny.

On both event days, a limited-time Trainer Lounge will be available at Copley Square, 560 Boylston St., from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“Copley Square’s roots in community and connection is the perfect place for you to enjoy a space to relax and recharge before continuing your adventures. We’re thrilled to host Pokémon GO City Safari at Copley Square, celebrating community and connection!” the website stated.

Organizers say anyone in Boston can participate. Local Community Ambassadors will host meetups so people can join and play with other Trainers. The following communities will host these events:

Tickets are available from the Pokémon GO Event Ticketing page. Organizers note that Trainers must be physically present in Boston to enjoy all the event’s exclusive gameplay. In-person live activities will be available for everyone, including those without tickets.

According to the website, the event is scheduled to be held regardless of the weather. However, in the case of extreme weather or natural disasters, the event may be suspended. Organizers encourage attendees to check the weather forecast before coming to the event and wear appropriate clothing for the activities.
