Global designers, engineers, and DIY enthusiasts are invited to join element14’s (an Avnet community) 2026 Halloween Hackathon. Participants will build and share Halloween-themed electronics projects for the chance to win prizes.

“The Halloween Hackathon is always one of the most creative events on our calendar,” said Andreea Teodorescu, Global Director of Product Marketing and element14 Community. “It’s exciting to see community members bring their ideas to life, share what they’ve learned and inspire others through their Halloween-themed electronics projects.”

Those interested should develop uses in electronic decorations, interactive costumes, automated trick-or-treater scare devices, or other Halloween-inspired builds. Members must submit a project summary explaining how their creation works and how it was built.
