Police officers in Dorset are investigating a spate of burglaries where jewellery, cash, and high-value Pokémon cards were stolen over the course of a week.

Between Wednesday 30th September and Sunday 11th October a number of homes were burgled on Oakhurst Road and Pinehurst Road.

On Sunday 4th October, Dorset police received a report of a burglary at a property in Oakhurst Road during the night where nothing was stolen.

Two days later, another burglary was reported on Pinehurst road in the early hours of Tuesday 6th October where jewellery was taken.

In the same area, two more burglaries were then reported in the first week of October. At one address, jewellery, watches and cash were stolen. At the other, a safe was stolen along with a purse, cash, and Pokémon cards worth £10,000.

The burglaries took place while the occupants of the homes were away.

Police Constable Anya Parvin, of Dorset CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this burglary series and I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area at the time the incidents occurred.

“I am issuing images of the stolen Pokémon cards and would like to hear from anyone who may have been offered them or seen them for sale.”

She added: “I am also keen to hear from motorists driving in the area at the time with dashcams fitted, as well as any local residents with doorbell or home CCTV cameras, who may have captured any footage of relevance to my investigation.
