The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake launches tomorrow, November 5, and several Best Buy and GameStop stores are marking the occasion with midnight launch events. Those who queue up early are promised a chance of purchasing a limited stock of the elusive 40th anniversary Zelda Switch 2 console and Switch 2 Pro Controller, but could we also see online restock appear around the same time?

We know that Walmart and Target are holding the next Zelda Switch 2 restock online on November 6, but that doesn’t mean that other retailers such as Amazon and the Nintendo Store are also holding back. The Nintendo Store held intermittent restocks last week, suggesting its re-opening orders as soon as it has any stock available.

Nintendo has admitted that it underestimated demand for the Zelda 40th anniversary Switch 2 special edition console and Pro Controller, which remain sold out at the majority of stores. However, with our Zelda Switch 2 tracker, you can be alerted as soon as the console or controller is back in stock.

We’ll be tracking all the retailers to see whether any new restocks appear, and we’ll be keeping a close eye on Walmart and Target on November 6 when we expect more stock to arrive.

If your pre-order from Walmart was cancelled, don’t forget to check your inbox. The retailer is issuing eGift cards to anyone affected, compensating those with $519, the full price of the console. It means that you can get the console for free at Walmart once it’s back in stock.

Nintendo’s New York and San Francisco stores are also holding a midnight launch event today, but it’s already sold out unless you obtained a Warp Pipe Pass. Our tip: don’t bother queuing up unless you have one.
